Lomi Lomi is the Hawaiian word for "massage", and it is part of a larger native Hawaiian tradition of healing and natural body care. According to Hawaiian tradition, all living beings are seeking a state of balance and love in the world. During a Lomi Lomi session, therefore, I focus on not only relaxing your body through gentle touch, but also reviving your spirit and filling your body with the energy of love.

Reiki

$20 per 20 minutes

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.

ETPS/E-Stim

$25 per session

ETPS is a form of E-stim; or electrical point stimulation.
The ETPS TENS US Unit safely detects treatment points on the surface of your skin, then applies concentrated microstimulation to motor, trigger and acupoints for a fast, intensified healing response. (read some of our testimonials) The TENS US Unit is very different than traditional TENS, which apply Alternating Current (AC) via pads over large skin areas. TENS US Unit applies concentrated, Direct Current (DC) microstimulation to specific treatment points in minute, short bursts. This approach produces a completely different sensation and healing response than traditional TENS. ETPSSM TENS US Unit has been clinically proven to be very effective for chronic intractable pain control. ETPS is a hybrid modality utilizing concentrated, low frequency, DC current stimulation to chinese meridian and trigger points throughout the body. ETPS has been reported to provide relief from some chronic conditions and can also provide immediate pain relief, decrease muscle hypertonicity and accelerate tissue repair for musculoskeletal disorders. ETPS appears to have an added benefit when used in conjunction with traditional massage therapy treatments of pain conditions in a mixed patient sample. ETPS is non-invasive and is very well tolerated by patients. It can be administered usually in 5 to 30 minutes. ETPS is an effective modality for pain reduction as part of a massage therapy program. Needleless Acutherapy (ETPS) can be compared to accupunture without the needle. ETPS releases natural pain relievers called endorphins throught the use of electrical stimulation. Using nothing more than a 9v battery with a square electrical wave pulse of 1 - 4Hz using Direct Current not Alternating Current which is used by most TENS units. It also uses a square wave not a pulse to provide trigger points release. For chronic pain, it is imperative to apply stimulation with the correct frequency to evoke an endorphin response that stimulates the body's healing mechanisms, thus ensuring optimal pain relief.
